Bozley's Story Part I & II
Our story begins with a 4 year-old chocolate lab who came to RROC in April of 2006.
While RROC rescues its fair share of special needs dogs, Barkley (who is now known as Bozley) will always be regarded as a major success story for the organization. A surrendered RROC canine, Bozley was afraid of tile, hardwood floors and linoleum, which made it much less likely that RROC would be able to place him quickly.
Compounded with his fears of hard surfaces, Bozley's left back leg presented itself with somewhat of an awkward imbalance and was often noticeable when he would walk or run. With the combination of these characteristics, many were unsure of Bozley's future in finding a forever home.
Surprisingly, only a very short time after teaming up with RROC to find a forever home, our organization was once again blessed with an amazing applicant family. Adoption was a blessing yet our story does not end here.
Shortly after adoption, it was determined that Bozley was suffering from Bilateral Patella Luxation, a condition which was greatly affecting his way of life. In this tale, we learn that compassion, care and resilience never cease to exhibit powers that supercede science and medicine. Please join RROC now by watching Part I & II of RROC's short documentary film and meet a true example of "resilience".
Resilience- [ri-zil-yuhns, -zil-ee-uhns] - Generally means the ability to recover from (or to resist being affected by) some shock, insult, or disturbance. See Bozley Mulligan
