Submission of your application does not guarantee placement of a Retriever. RROC reserves the right to reject any application for placement. Applicants must agree to a home visit prior to adoption approval.

The placement fee for a Retriever is due at the time of placement. The placement fee ranges from $125.00-$400.00 which covers the cost of medical treatment (spay/neuter, rabies, parvo/distemper vaccinations and heartworm check for out of state dogs) and transportation. For puppies who are 8 months of age or younger, the placement fee is $400.00 and covers the first round of puppy shots, rabies(if old enough at adoption) and spay/neuter. It is extremely rewarding to have people who are willing to make the last years the best years for our senior dogs. For all other dogs, 9 months and older, the placement fee is between $125-$350 depending on the age of the dog.

    RROC Spay & Neuter Policy:
Retriever Rescue of Colorado exists because there is a surplus of homeless dogs.  For this reason, we are strong advocates of spaying and neutering all dogs.  All dogs adopted from us either have been or must be spayed or neutered.  RROC requires that all puppies adopted from us be spayed between 4.5 and 6 months of age or neutered between 5 and 6.5 months of age.  We recognize that some adopters prefer to delay altering their dogs and want to make very clear that we strictly adhere to these time frames.  Absent grave medical concerns for the individual puppy at issue, we will not grant delays.
